Nikon Discovery Awards required the conversion of a large format mpeg file to FLV (Flash Video Format) and its installation within their Discovery framework.
BBC World Service Sep - Active
My initial role for the BBC World Service involved templating in an existing custom Jivesoftware Forum. The project involved creating new locales for the World Service through modification of include,CSS and template files. A key component of this work was managing the UTF-8 encoding to enable the correct display of characters for the respective languages.
The second part of this contract focussed on the development of a new 1024 template to replace the 800 wide table layouts. This work began with the build of a 1024 Persian template.
All development was conducted within Perforce source control..
Nokia Aug - Sep 2008
Interactive UI (user interface) demo that illustrated to senior managment how a user would navigate through a conceptual website. This project was developed in Flash and embedded in a webpage to enble easy navigation of the different user routes being showcased. The Nokia led design was transformed into a series of imports that could be merged within Flash to produce the effect of a user purchasing or renting products from different categories.
