Why build an accessible website?

To disregard accessiblity is to disreagard users, in some situations this might mean potential products and services are either invisible or not as visible as they could be.

This portfolio has been written with accessiblity in mind. Accessibility measures such as access keys, alt and title tags have been included to help users navigate. The accesskey function allows you to navigate around the site without using your mouse. Using your keyboard, it's possible to jump directly to certain links or certain areas within a page, without having to move your mouse at all.

By typing alt+[accesskey] (PC) or ctrl+[accesskey] (Mac), a link becomes high-lighted. You can then hit the enter key to activate the link.
